Deanquip powertrans, Company

The business had its origins in 1971 when John S Dean’s Deanquip Sales P/L commenced operations as an importer and distributor of a variety of engineering products. By the 1990’s, the business had two product divisions – Deanquip Valve Automation - a designer and supplier of valve actuators, automation assemblies and systems, and Deanquip Powertrans Hydraulics & Tools - a wholesale supplier of couplings, miscellaneous power transmission components and hydraulic industry components. These divisions were eventually separated into distinct businesses. In 2004, the valve automation business was sold to Rotork Australia P/L. In April 2005, the remaining business - Deanquip Powertrans Hydraulics & Tools P/L - was purchased by Stephen & Krystyna Seward. Stephen Seward has many years experience in business management and ownership, primarily within the manufacturing and technical products sector. Stephen is Managing Director of the Deanquip Group and all operating subsidiaries. Krystyna fulfills a Director role in these entities. In October 2005 Deanquip Australia Pty Ltd was formed to serve as a future holding company. In 2007, Deanquip Powertrans Hydraulics & Tools P/L was made a subsidiary of Deanquip Australia Pty Ltd in the process of forming the Deanquip Australia Group.
